A Look Back At Q3...
Ahoy-hoy!
I wanted to take a moment to highlight some special projects from the ZCII happening during this Zia Dayz. Zia Records & the ZCII aim to impact our local communities and here are some awesome ways we were able to do that this month:
First, Zia Records was able to award its 2nd annual education grant, and this time, WE DOUBLED IT! Four recipients received education grants in 2025 from Zia thanks to our Skip-a-Bag initiative led by our cashiers. Asking customers to forego a bag not only helps the planet by cutting down on trash but it has made a positive impact in four more students' lives as they further their education. Incredible work everyone!
Next, Zia Records in Chandler is hosting our first Tattoo fundraiser on-site at the store. We've partnered with the State Forty-Eight Foundation and The Lost Cove Tattoo shop to host an event this Saturday, October 18th, with all proceeds going to benefit entrepreneurs in our communities via the State Forty-Eight Foundation. Anyone interested can register here. Very few spots are left! Registration fees include the tattoo and a free State Forty-Eight x Zia Records T-shirt!
Lastly, I wanted to take a special moment to highlight our Adopt-a-street program for Bethany Home in Phoenix. On Saturday October 5th many from the Bethany Home crew plus other Zia volunteers helped clean up our local neighborhood along Bethany Home between 27th and 35th avenue. Very inspiring work by the crew led by the organizational efforts of Zak Frankel. Next up is the Trunk or Treat presented by the Thunderbird Business Alliance so keep your eyes peeled for that!
