This hand colored film is based on the infamous true story of a young girl who is tricked into a life of prostitution in New Orleans and goes on trial for murdering her pimp/lover/ Producer & co-director Dorothy Davenport Reid became a director after her husband, matinee idol Wallace Reid, died from an accidental drug overdose in 1923.
