In this powerful and moving documentary, able-bodied and disabled American and Vietnamese veterans participate in a 16-day, 1200-mile bicycle journey across a landscape where they once killed to stay alive. Former enemies ride together as one team, joined by well-known cyclist Greg LeMond and Senator John Kerry, in an emotional journey of peace, reconciliation, and athletic achievement. Their only handicap are the ghosts from their past, with their nagging reminders of injury, pain, and loss. Organized by the World T.E.A.M. Sports, the event and the film it inspired encapsulate the repercussions of the Vietnam War. Narrated by Joe Mantegna.
